Ivy is a world within a city, totally reinventing the recreation experience. Its special magic is its holistic mix of experiences never normally combined in one location. These include Ivy Life, a day spa area with a unique social feel, where champagne is on the menu alongside grooming and pampering.
With 18 indoor and outdoors bars, the Ivy event spaces are excellent locations for prestigious events. The largest space is The Ivy Room, a ballroom on level one in Building Two, which holds 1,000 people and opens out to a terrace overlooking George Street. Daring design has delivered a majestic space without columns or partitions.
The Den is a fine example of exclusive and intimate space. This quintessentially stylish room features a stunning mirror bar, silk ottomans and the Palm Springs glamour of elegant lounges, high-backed armchairs and turquoise velvet drapes. The sense of extravagance and luxury is everywhere. The discreet and friendly staff will look after your every appetite. Make a selection from the Mikey Enright cocktail list, or delve into the delicious Sailors Thai menu. Make yourself comfortable in the most lavish of surroundings.
For functions and events that require a truly unique atmosphere, ivy bar has numerous areas that can comfortably hold around 20-50 guests. Although non-exclusive, there is plenty of space to call your own. From the beautiful sunken lounge, to the beach box, areas on this floor are perfect for private or corporate cocktail parties. Guests are free to explore all areas of ivy bar, including The Terrace with its funky outdoor setting. Eating options include Mad Cow, a New York-style grill with a Peter Doyle-designed menu, or The Kitchen for quick and tasty premium burgers and salads. Located on level two, ivy lounge is breathtaking - a beautifully designed relaxed setting with an elegant 1950s inspired feel.
Designed to impress with an exclusive atmosphere and highly attentive staff, ivy lounge features one of Sydney's most creative cocktail lists, purpose-designed by Mikey Enright, and Thai delicacies from the nearby Sailors Thai restaurant.
Ivy is part of Merivale, Sydney's largest proprietor of renowned pubs, clubs, and bars. Key elements of the idealised 1950s modernist residence have been reinterpreted and over-scaled into a sequence of indoor and outdoor rooms across two adjoining buildings. Designed by Woods Bagot and interior designers Hecker Phelan Guthrie the green oasis in the city centre draws inspiration from the modern houses of California and Florida created by architects such as Paul Rudolph, Richard Neutra and John Lautner.
