Review

Surrounded by extensive gardens and exclusive leisure facilities, The Hurlingham Club event spaces are suitable for hosting a range of fabulous five-star occasions. The Hurlingham Suite makes up the renovated East Wing of the elegant Georgian Clubhouse. The individual rooms all lead into the spectacular glazed Palm Court. This wonderfully light and spacious area is where diners can relax post-dinner or hard-working conference delegates can take their lunch breaks.

The Hurlingham Suite is designed to provide maximum flexibility with rooms of varying sizes and capacities that can be closed off for individual functions or thrown open to provide an impressively large total area for up to 1,000 diners. The self-contained theatre can accommodate a conference for up to 190 delegates. The ultra-modern banqueting kitchens can provide an excellent range of menus, from haute cuisine dinners to summer BBQs.

History

The Wimbledon Ball sits comfortably in the calendar alongside Polo in the Park, the Salon Prive and the Boat Race Ball. Much of the Club's history is to be found in the world of sports, with Hurlingham acting as the headquarters for Polo for the British Empire, until the Second World War, and The World Croquet Federation holding its first world association croquet championship tournament in 1989. Now in its 15th year the BNP Paribas Fortis Tennis Classic, at Hurlingham, is a thrilling combination of tennis legends alongside ATP tour players.

  1. Our selected venue in London

We have now held 2 conference & gala dinners at The Hurlingham Club. The service by all staff from porters to management is second to none. They are extremely helpful and dedicated. The venue is impeccable. The grounds are kept beautiful with not a blade of grass out of place. All of our clients who attend are extremely impressed with the venue (once in the grounds you wouldn’t know you’re in central London!), and it creates such a positive atmosphere.

  2. Venue For Special Events

The Hurlingham is an unique place to hold special events. Canning House has been privileged to enjoy their fantastic hospitality for the past 2 years, which has ensured the success of all the talks we have held at their beautiful premises.

  3. Outstanding event at The Hurlingham Club

Royal Wimbledon Golf Club held its Sesquicentennial Gala Dinner and Ball at the Hurlingham and the event was outstanding. The whole event ran smoothly from start to finish and we are still receiving compliments 6 weeks later from our members and overseas guests. To cater for 700 cannot be easy and the Hurlingham team took it all in their stride and gave us an event that we will remember for a long time.
